Carson Mall hosts Hot Wheels race

July 27, 2019 (All day) Ready, Set and Go: Come and race your Hot Wheels at the Carson Mall in Carson City on Saturday, July 27. Bring your favorite Hot Wheels, Matchbox or similar-sized car and compete against your peers for bragging rights and prizes! We will have a 15 foot downhill race track! Single elimination.
No car? No problem! Hot Wheels cars will be available for sale of $2 per car! Trophies for each age class with a gift. This tournament-style event is $1 per car limit 10 cars, please.
Qualifications:
1. All cars must be obtained through Registration at the Race Registration Desk anytime before the first race. Each car will be assigned a Race Entry Number and Age class.
2. The Race will have six classes:
- 3-7 YRS OLD
- 8 -12 YRS OLD
- 13-17 YRS OLD
- 18-30 YRS OLD
- 30 -49 YRS OLD
- 50-plus
3. Registration for the Hot Wheels Downhill Race will be a $1 donation per car. Each individual, youth or adult, is limited to no more than 10 entries.
4. No modifications (including weights) are allowed on any of the vehicles.
5. All cars will be standard the size of Hot Wheels® vehicles.
6. Registration for the Race will be open from 11:00 AM through 12:30 PM. The Hot Wheels Downhill Race will begin promptly at 1:00 PM.
Rules:
Each race heat will be 6 cars with one designated winner qualifying for a future race heat. Each racer will have a single elimination.
Cars will be the original, non-modified and non-powered car.
No oil, graphite, silicon or any other substance is allowed.
The same car must be used for the entire race.
Gift awards and plaques will be awarded to First, place winners in each class.
All cars will be inspected at the time of entry and will be given a number.
Winners of each race heat will receive a Winners Slip that registers them for the next round.
Winners will be asked to remain in the track areas for the next round of race heats until an eventual winner is determined.
Tables will be set up please only use them only if your heat it up.
